WELCOME

Road traffic statistics released in April 2026 underscore an urgent public safety challenge for Guyana: fatal accidents increased by 18% and serious injuries by over 13% compared with the same period in 2025. While minor collisions declined by 24% and property damage incidents by 37%, the Guyana Police Force Traffic Department warns that these gains leave no room for
complacency. This urgency is heightened by the country’s rapid economic
transformation, as the expanding oil and gas sector drives a significant
increase in heavy-duty haulage, industrial tankers, and logistical traffic
operating alongside new high-speed highway corridors.

Against this backdrop, Beyond the Wheels 2.0—Guyana’s premier National
Road Safety Summit—will convene on October 6–7, 2026, at the Arthur Chung
Conference Centre (ACCC). More than a conference, this landmark forum is
designed to translate national conversations into practical action.

Drawing on its recognized expertise in road safety training, technical safety
implementation, and stakeholder capacity building, Clarke’s Productions Inc.
will deliver a two-day platform for learning, collaboration, and action. The
Summit will unite government, industry, academia, youth, and civil society to
share best practices, strengthen technical knowledge, and foster a culture of
safer road use, directly supporting the State’s commitment to the United
Nations’ goal of reducing road fatalities and serious injuries by 50% by 2030.
We invite you to be part of this national movement. Together, we can invest in
safer roads, stronger communities, and a future where every journey ends
safely.
